Words to Live By
This quilt was made for my other step-son Jim who is a writer, for Christmas. I gathered all of his favorite quotes to make this quilt for him. He likes dark and rich colors. I have this old Royal typewriter that I photographed and then added his own words of what he lives by to appear as if they were typed on the Royal. This was a fun project to do for him and I got to paint with inks to make the quotes look as if they were rusting. I also found a typewriter key "Shift Freedom" to sew on the front. I also used Black Felt for the middle, instead of batting.
