Festival in Long Beach

Surviving the Runway 60's Style; me, Judy Coates Perez, Leslie Tucker Jenison, Pokey Bolton, Melanie Testa and Jane LaFazio; more pictures on the Quilting Arts website
Leslie taking down our special exhibit "Edges" on Sunday afternoon - this is her co-curator's quilt.
Festival treasures; Duponi silk for $9/yard, Sandy Schor's booth was there - my fav place for embellishments: abalone buttons (you can use both sides) and metal faceted sequins
Iris Karp in her Mistyfuse booth - see the small black apron on the left? Click on the picture to enlarge. It's made with Mistyfuse and is a mini-version of my life-size aprons
MIU Helpers - Surviving the Runway - rocking out; where I realized that I just can bend like I used to, but loved taking pictures of everyone else!
Student art box in my Sunday morning workshop in MIU; New author Laura West Kong and her daughter were in my class
Friday afternoon Mixed Media Scrolls - everyone holding up their works of art
Teaching in MIU - always a highlight at Festival
Friday night dinner - Leslie Tucker Jenison, Judy Coates Perez and Melly Mells Testa
Me and Leslie Tucker Jenison standing by the sign for our special exhibit "Edges"
The SAQA Booth on Preview Night with the one foot square auction pieces hanging behind the tables; The exhibit Masters: Art Quilts is just behind that wall.
MIU Apron making with plenty of drop cloths on beds (white bedspreads), floor and chairs
Melly Mells painting her apron
Out to dinner on Wednesday night with Leslie Tucker Jenison, Iris Karp and Yvonne Porcella
"Everything Under the Sun" fiber art postcard quilt from my special exhibit in 2008 of group quilts all about Long Beach. I gave Quilts, Inc this masterpiece which was the cornerstone of our exhibit. It will be displayed every year at Festival in Long Beach. Doesn't it look great? You can see the quilt close up on the Cut-Loose Quilters blog
