31.5W x 48H - Portals has been accepted into Quilts: A World of Beauty in Houston 2009 - I am so excited, because I haven't had an art quilt in this juried exhibit since 2006. Two envelopes came through the slot in my studio door - one skinny and one fat. Here is a detail shot with Heavy Metal Mouse - they kinda go together! Free motion machine quilting on satin was really fun and it produces such a nice texture. The zippers are purposely unzipped and sewn into place. You can click on the full shot to see it larger.
Jamie, this is quite a time for you -- Girl Scouts, Houston...congratulations. "Portals" is elegant with an edge!
