Baby art quilt (12W x 14H) for my niece. The original artwork is a watercolor of text and artwork that I designed and had copyrighted in 1988. It was transferred to fabric, fused with Mistyfuse and the other fabrics were added around it. All of the mother-of-pearl buttons were sewn on by hand. You can click on it to see it larger.
Really cute. I love the sentiment that you wrote.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the center panel! The art work and words are wonderful! The buttons are the perfect touch. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, well done!!
ReplyDeleteThis is precious. I love all the words.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best art baby quilt I have ever seen. You are very talented. I think that this should become a new category in quilt/art quilt shows. I'm very impressed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll consider creating more along this line and writing articles for magazines (and your blog). I do think you are on to something that could really change the quilting world, as we know it today.
Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteSoooo cute! I'm sure the new Mom ad Dad will love it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, Jamie. The words bring tears to my eyes as I watch my grown teenaged men and remember they once were just like you said...untouched by the world. Thanks for the lovely memories!A beautiful gift.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is the sweetest and most meaningful baby quilt I've seen, or even envisioned. This is an heirloom.
