My mom moved to an assisted living club recently. Most of the residents have a seasonal wreath on their door for cheerfulness and identification. I decided that she needed something a little different, so I made her this whimsical house quilt for her door.
In the midst of a long hallway with rows of cream colored doors, she will find her way to her wonderful apartment! I love you, Mom!
I adore this cute house quilt! That was a fabulous idea for your Mom's door. I read your blog regularly and I don't always comment but I want you to know that I love all your creations. Everything you do is colorful and joyful--my two favorite things!
My Mom is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. Just outside her door is an area for an ATC-sized picture. Your post has got me thinking about all the possibilities. Thanks for sharing. D~~~~
It's adorable! I'm going to steal this idea for my folks' door in their retirement home. They will love it, especially if I do several for the different seasons. Thank you, Jamie!
It's adorable, and so very special. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful. You can find her, too! I used to get so lost in my MIL's assisted living place.
ReplyDeleteIt's great. I bet your mum is delighted with it.
