| Our daughter is graduating from UCLA today! School of Theater, Film and Television, Bachelor of Arts in Theater, with a Minor in English. We are so darn proud of her! She will be attending Columbia University in the Fall, for a Masters in Dramaturgy. Dramaturgy is the art of dramatic composition and the representation of the main elements of drama on the stage. Dramaturgy is a distinct practice separate from play writing and directing, although a single individual may perform any combination of the three.[1] Some dramatists combine writing and dramaturgy when creating a drama. ReplyDeleteA friend of mine has a sister who is the dramaturg for the Stratford Festival Theatre in Ontario Canada. Only other person I am aware of who is involved in that profession. Congrats.
