Introducing a New Project

Announcing a really great project, than you, as an artist, can be part of.  When Sue Bleiweiss and I found out that more women die each year in the US from cardiovascular disease than all cancers combined we decided to put together a project to help raise awareness of that horrifying statistic.  Our goal is to raise $5,000 for The Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles,California –because they not only treat women,but also educate and do major research for this disease with women.  Katie Couric talked to Barbra  Streisand about the heart center.

Hop on over to the blog 'Kick Off Your Heels" and see the shoes that have already been created for this project.  We're asking artists to use a pair of high heels as their canvas, to create a pair of really creative art pieces, that stand alone.  More information on the blog.  The show will be juried, and heels sold on-line in 2013.
