I am meditating daily, that I will be calm on the days leading up to my surgery, as well as, on the day of my surgery. My friend, Melly gave me this excellent suggestion, and it is working! |
Prayer for healing, that the bones heal by 6 weeks, so I can begin to put weight on my foot. And that I will maintain a positive attitude throughout the duration |
Remember to b r e a t h e and pray and be thankful. I am loading the books on my Kindle, sketchbooks will be within a hands reach, and maybe some handwork. |
these and many inspirational flags are posted every week on The Prayer Flag Project blog
What a wonderful way to express your feelings.
ReplyDeleteMy prayers and thoughts are with you and I hope everything goes well.
I cannot sit still for long, a few days of being sick and I have to get up and do something;) I do a lot of hand sewing when I have to rest.

A brilliant idea to create some personal inspiration to help you on your way (plus they look beautiful). Very best wishes for your journey xx
ReplyDeleteWith your positive attitude and lots of prayers I know that you will come through this experience in good shape. Best wishes for a successful surgery and quick healing.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers for a speedy, uneventful recovery! I don't know about you but the older I get it seems like the days, weeks, months fly by. Hopefully that will be the case. Maybe you can have some fabric nearby so you can be cutting some components for your fabulous quilts-to-be! Your mind will probably be racing with all kinds of ideas since you won't be able to run to the studio!
ReplyDeleteYou created such soothing and cool prayer flags! I hope you zip through this surgery and the days that follow with ease. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

great idea, you could continue to make flags as you recover. sounds like you got all your creative devises handy. keep posting, maybe you'll even find some new friends online while you recover. from what i hear about the replacement parts, you'll feel better then you have for a long time.
ReplyDeleteVERY best wishes to you! I lurk a lot and don't comment as much as I should but I read you every day, and enjoy your Quilting Arts DVD and articles very much. If I didn't live 3,000 miles away I'd bring a casserole for your family's freezer. :) I hope somebody in your local community is able to do something like this for you. Here's to the soon-to-be new and improved you. --Keet in Pennsylvania
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful prayer flags-beautiful on many levels. Best wishes to you for a successful surgery and easy recovery.
ReplyDeletePrayers on winging their way to you. I'm sure you will do great with the surgery and you'll be dancing in those fabulous shoes in no time.
ReplyDeleteMay your surgery go smoothly and your healing come quickly, Jamie!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have a wonderful start to a great recovery! I am sending prayers that the surgeon will be skilled and make great decisions in his work. I am sending prayers that your body will heal properly and that time will seem to go quickly so that you can spend the time down that you need to heal. And if by chance you start to go a little stir crazy you know you can post online or email and you will have lots of supportive people to help you through! Best wishes!
ReplyDeleteAwesome and unique - just like you! I'm sure you will come thru this and embrace whatever comes your way. I wish you all the best :-)
ReplyDeleteSorry you have to go through this, but I know with your great positive attitude, you will do great. I will be sending you all my strength, love, and hope! I second Keet's idea that if I lived closer, I'd be bringing you a casserole. Hang tough. :-) Susan
