My Goals for 2017

I don't make new years resolutions, but I do make goals for myself for the coming year.  I am going to continue doing my Quote of the Day on Instagram and Facebook - some written by me, and some by others.
I am forging ahead with my Moleskine Storybook sketchbook and will self publish some small books with my favorite motifs, like houses, line & pattern, travel, etc - where people can practice drawing inside the book.
I have a new fabric line coming out at Spring Market in St. Louis in May with RJR Fabrics!  I am quite excited about it. Stay tuned for more information later down the line.
I can't wait to teach at Craft Napa in January!  Such a great bonding time with friends, teachers and students. Hope to see you there. Teaching three classes - Zen Stitching, Hexagon Art Quilts and Twirly Whirly Swirls.
I am an 'official' ambassador for Havel's Sewing for 2017. They have the best scissors, snips, rotary cutters and mats.

Yes, that's me on the packaging of Mistyfuse.  I will be doing more 'how to's' on my blog in 2017 on all the ways you can use Mistyfuse, and for all types of fabrics.
This was a challenging object to make this year (a stuffed animal), and I plan to push myself to create some think outside the box kinds of pieces with fabric and thread.  I am out of the bear making business. It was certainly a learning experience and not something that I was good at, but it helped me regain something that had been lost inside myself.
I plan to spend more time in my studio making art, experimenting, and finding my way to what I want to be doing. I am going to stretch myself this year in ways that I didn't think were possible. Onward and upward to 2017.  I really treasure my time here.
I think there might be some 'pattern' designing in my future.  My 'most asked about' art quilt - is there a pattern for that?  Not yet....
or you could buy this. A stencil of my dresses for StencilGirl Products.  I love being one of their designers!
I will continue to curate special exhibits with Leslie Tucker Jenison under the Dinner at Eight Artists name. 2017 marks our ninth year of working together!
I plan to bring back the zipper in my art.  Enough for now.  Onward and upward to 2017! Happy New Year!
